Stronger Together
Day of Pink
The International Day of Pink is a global movement against bullying, discrimination, homophobia, transphobia, and biphobia. Born out of a simple act of solidarity when students stood up for a peer bullied for wearing a pink shirt, Day of Pink has grown into an international movement providing over 500 free workshops, youth events, and award-winning educational resources annually to foster safer, affirming communities.
π 2026/2027 Campaign β INSPIRE Tour: History in Action
Solidarity in Resistance. Vision in Action. Power in Progress.
This year, the Day of Pink INSPIRE Tour travels across Canada, bringing free bilingual events directly into classrooms and community spaces to celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ trailblazers and inspire the next generation.
From classrooms to community halls, queer and trans voices have always driven change. This tour honours that legacy by marking two pivotal anniversaries in Canadian history:
The 50th Anniversary of the Montreal Olympic Raids: The turning point that laid the foundation for the very first official Gay Village in the Americas.
The 55th Anniversary of the 'We Demand' Protest: Canada's first national gay rights demonstration on Parliament Hill in 1971.
History isn't just the pastβitβs an active tool to build a respectful, equitable, and affirming tomorrow.
ποΈ What to Expect on Tour
The INSPIRE Tour is an immersive multimedia experience featuring:
A brand-new play, Dancing with the Past, by acclaimed playwright Lawrence Aronovitch.
Screenings of original short documentary films.
Interactive Q&A discussions with the cast, local activists, and community leaders.
